Burda and Ami

Just a couple of hotties!

Ok, I Lied...So Sue Me! :)

This was taken during Grand March and I promise, this will be the last one. I know it is a little blurry but I love the smiles!!

This Doesn't Count...It Was Taken at After Prom!!

I like to call this one Burda in Motion. This was part of the After Prom festivities that we helped to plan. I have to tell you these Relay Races were the highlight of the evening!! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a really long time. It was a great time, and the lack of sleep was totally worth it.

Ok, Just a Couple More

Ok, these are the last prom pics I will post (today) so bear with me. Just a proud Mom, can't help it!!

A Couple More Prom Pictures

Here are a couple more from Saturday night. I think it is pretty obvious from the group picture who got the looks in the family, huh. :) I just cant even begin to tell you how gorgeous she looked!!

Okay, I haven't checked for a while, but had to say something about the Roseann BINGO thing. The resemblance is minimal at best. I do have 3, yes 3 daubers.......also have scotch tape ( much easier to keep track of multiples if they are taped together ). Can't find a troll doll though. Let me set the record straight........son in law wins every week, oldest grandson has won, granddaughter has won, Grandma Sherry ( that would be me ) has won........blogger ( my oldest daughter ) no wins...... Turns out it is really fun though. I am going to keep looking for the troll doll..........

Also, granddaughter was beautiful for her prom. Burda just lit up the room when she came to show her Grandpa Jack how beautiful she was. That little problem with his teeth was just because he was so struck by how lovely she looked.

Prom 2008

Ok, so I don't have a lot of time, but thought I would post a quick picture of Burda. She looked pretty amazing, and I am not just saying that cuz I am her Mom. You can't really tell from this pictures but the hair is adorable!!! I will post more later.

O.M.G. The Best Music Site Ever (thanks Lesa!!!)

Ok....you know how I am about music....and my friend Lesa was kind enough to tell me about this site. You can create your own freakin' radio station!! It only plays the music you choose, and adds songs it thinks you might like. But, if you don't like them, you can remove them too. So very cool!! Very very cool!!! But, it added The Carpenters to my playlist....not sure how I feel about that.

Day of Silence

Hey everybody...most everyone knows I have a soft spot for this cause, so if you have a minute just click on this link for some information and to see if there is anything you might be able to do to raise awareness. I really believe that no matter where you stand on the issue of homosexuality, we can all agree that what happened to Lawrence King, and the reason behind it, is not acceptable. If you haven't heard the story, read up on it here. Both of the families involved in this tragedy have lost so much, and for what? Do what you can and let your voice be heard. It isn't about all about a monetary contribution either...there is so much more you can do.

B-I-N-G-O

So some of you know that we have been going to Bingo on Sunday nights for awhile now, and before you start making fun....well, ok, go ahead and make fun cuz we all know I would make fun of you for it!! But it is a pretty good time. Critter comes home for it, and Burda tries to get there whenever she isn't working so it gives us some quality family time too. But I found this video on You Tube and I just have to ask...does the lady in the poncho remind anyone else of Grandma Sherry, or am I on my own on this one?? :)

Little Man on the Soccer Field

I have been trying to upload more concert footage but that is not working out so well for me. So, here is a little clip of the Little Man at soccer practice on Sunday. Hopefully he will finally get to play a game this Thursday, if the rain holds off!! So far the kids have gotten to play -0- games due to weather! But, at least it will be called off due to rain and not snow this time. See....there is always a silver lining if you look hard enough!!

The Amazing Man I Married

I just wanted to take a minute and thank my husband for being pretty damn wonderful!! Last night was so much fun and it was just that much better because he was there. He has been sick for about a week now, fighting strep and just an overall nasty case of the crud, not to mention his regular bouts with the kidney stones, but he still went with me to see Daughtry and Bon Jovi. And it wasn't just because we had all ready spent our hard earned money on the tickets, and there was no attitude or crankiness about it...he went because he wanted to hang out with me. (and because he loves Bon Jovi, but that is not the point here) And I love him more than he will ever know for that!! Thank you for making me believe again baby!!

**for those of you needing them, you will find the barf bags on your left. :)

Concert Clips

Daughtry opened up the night, and rocked it out!!

Ok, I Know You Are Sick of My Music Sites...

But here is one more anyway. Lots of very cool, eclectic stuff you sure as hell wont hear on Des Moines radio!!! And, speaking of music, last night was the big Daughtry/Bon Jovi concert at WF Arena. And I am here to tell you...it was freaking awesome!! Both bands were worth the money (and that is saying a lot since the tickets were $100 a piece!!) and I took the Flip video with me so I could post some of it for y'all. I will try to get those up later today. Till then...happy Monday!!!

Chicago in the Springtime

Here are some pictures for our weekend in the greater Chicago area. It was a great time and I highly recommend this resort for a fun and family friendly getaway. Only a 5 hour drive from Des Moines, and if the 5 of us could do it in a Kia Spectra without any significant bloodshed, anybody can!!! Extra thanks to the hubby and the kids for making it a great birthday weekend!! I am truly the luckiest wife and mother on the planet!!! I love you guys!

Just a Reminder...

If there is a comment attached to any of the blog entries that you have to click on a link to view, DON'T DO IT!!!! It is a trap people!! :) Any comments that are left shouldn't have a link to them, and that is how you know it will redirect you to somewhere you, and your hard drive, don't want to go!! I will continue to delete them as they are added if a link in included, but if I miss one, I just wanted you to be warned. Happy Spring everybody!!

How to Make A Random Act of Kindness All About Me!

Remember how I said I was going to do some kind of random acts of kindness in honor of the little boy fighting cancer and his family? They are keeping a blog on this website and you can find it by searching for colemanscott. Anyway....so today I was at my local Caseys, and there was an elderly woman patiently waiting in line behind me to pay for her coffee and donut. When the clerk asked if there was anything else I needed, I said, yes...I would like to pay for whatever she is having also. Well, needless to say I think I shocked the jebus out of the poor woman, and she tried to refuse my offer. I gave her a brief explanation of why I wanted to pay for her things, and after hearing the little story, she gave me a hug and let me pay. Got to tell you, it was a pretty amazing feeling! So even though I did it for the positive energy Coleman needs, I got a pretty big old boost of sunshine out of it myself. So to quote one of my favorite singers....go do something wonderful for somebody. It can a totally selfish experience!

I Could Not Have Said It Better....Rated PG17 (L)

I totally agree with this man, and would be more than willing to sign any petition he wants to start!!
